DWCU 2018 BIBLE WEEK CELEBRATION

A parade of the DWCU Student, Faculty, and Staff around Brgy. Bayaoas with biblical passages and costumes of different biblical characters commenced the DWCU Bible Week Celebration last January 20, 2018. After the parade, different competitions such as Poster Making, Slogan Making, Essay Writing, Bible Quiz and Teach & Treat were realized.  All these Biblical activities were in line with the theme dubbed as The Bible is the Foundation of Righteous Leadership and Living”. The Biblical Parade has culminated with the Biblical Enthronement in every classroom.

The Biblical week ended with a Spoken Poetry Contest on January 26, 2018 AT 8:00 o’clock AM at St. Michael Gymnasium.  Fr. Venerando J. Yator, SVD, the Campus Minister made an Opening Remarks.  Ms. Khally Patalud, High School Teacher, was tasked as Master of Ceremony and likewise introduced the three judges namely Mr. Rolando Majarucon, College and Senior High Teacher and an IT Expert, Mrs. Joelita M. Bernabe, DWCU College Dean and Mrs. Marissa T. Sanchez, the DWCU Guidance Counselor and Human Resource Coordinator. Fr. Roberto J. Ibay, SVD, the DWCU President, was called to give an inspirational message.  He emphasized three points on how to make the Bible as the foundation or root of Righteous Leadership and Righteous Living; He highlighted the need to READ, LISTEN and PRAY WITH the Bible.  Doing these assist us to become a righteous leader and to have a better life and an excellent community.

On January 26, 2018, at 6:00 o’clock P.M., the DWCU Knights of the Altar, DWCU Campus Ministry Staff headed by Fr. Venerando J. Yator, SVD, attended the Diocesan Bible Festival Stage Play held at the Diocesan Gymnasium beside the Cathedral.

All in all, the Biblical Week Celebration was very enriching and the activities realized helped the learners and educators to appreciate more the Word of God in their life and faith.
