14^TH NATIONAL SCIENCE QUEST 2017

14th Nat’l. Science Quest

The National Science Quest is an annual event attended by the students and teachers of the different schools in both public and private all over the Philippines. It is a three-day affair organized by the Association of Science Educators of the Philippines (ASEP). It was held at Baguio City, Benguet. The said event was composed of different types of contests such as, Science and Techno Quiz

Baguio City Nat’l. High School 

(Individual and Team Competition), On-the-Spot painting, collage making, Sayawit contest, Rubik’s Cube challenge, Essay Writing in English and Filipino, sci-photo journalism, impromptu speaking etc. the venues of the different contests was held also in the vicinity of Baguio City National high School. The contest is categorized into Teachers’ category and students’ category. It’s not just only for students but teachers also showed up their skills.

The Divine Word College of Urdaneta has also its entry in the event. There were 5 students who participated in the competition naming, Rachel Christine Garcia – On-the-Spot Painting, Raphaell Ridao – JHS Essay Writing in English, Sophia Ridao – JHS Essay Writing in Filipino, Marvin Wyndel Cura – Rubik’s Cube Competition, and Louise Joy Urbano – Science Quiz Bee). They were able to present themselves in terms of academics, talents and skills. The students were accompanied by the Science Teachers, Ms. Vanessa Jane Agas, and Ms. Melanie Tabobo in the competition at different places in Baguio City. Even the parents gave their full support with their kids by accompanying them during the competition. The students enjoyed their company and also they met new friends in other schools. It was a wonderful event for the students because they won in some areas and they were very happy to receive their awards with medals and certificates
