Happy 48th Foundation Day DWCU!
Theme: “DWCU@48: Joining Hands in Love,
Praise and Service”
The Divine Word College of Urdaneta was founded in 1967 by the Missionaries of the Divine Word under the pioneering initiatives of the late Fr. August Herbers, SVD. A school intended for seminarians to prepare them to become future missionaries, opened its missionary doors to other young people, thereby it evolved to cater the educational needs of the pre-schoolers up to college nowadays. Through all those years of meritorious existence, this educational institution stood firm in its commitment to quality education, giving its best to prepare young men and women for the attainment of a bright future they aim to reach. At present, some of us are children of those who passed the portals of Divine Word College of Urdaneta, who are already in the best status in life like successful business men and women, in the arts, industries, professionals, and some have joined the ranks of the SVDs as missionary priests and brothers. These are only a few of the many reasons for us to celebrate with joy a thanksgiving with this year’s foundation day there: “DWCU at 48: Joining Hands in Love, Praise and Service”.
