DWCU Employees’ Summer Function and Retreat

Summer Encounter

Summer Function and Retreat for employees are permanent of DWCU’s Employees activities.  This year’s retreat and summer function which used to be a separate activity was fused into one.  It was held on April 17- 18 – 19, 2009 in Isla Maria or known as Orbos Island in Anda, Pangasinan.  The place was sorrounded by the sea water that made everyone enjoy the day-outing and the recollection.

Dr. Natividad Pagadut was invited as the Recollection Speaker.  She spoke on the importance of knowing the vision and mission of the Institution.  The institution

is likened to an egg that every employee has to exert effort to protect it.  Thus, it is the duty of every employee to care and love for the institution they have been working with.

It was also first time that there (3) priests from the DWCU community joined the retreat.  Fr. Dominador O. Ramos, SVD, President of the institution spearheaded the said activity.  Fr. Emmanuel Ferrer, SVD, the DWCU Finance Officer and the Campus Minister, Fr. Servatius W. Tethun, SVD were also there to take part in the activity.  Everyone participated actively in the group sharing and in the presentation of the report of each group.

Before proceeding to Anda, the interested participants visited the famous Hundred Islands where they enjoyed looking at the panoramic view of the islands, while those who remained at the Lucap had enough time to go around the City of Alaminos. This year’s retreat and summer function indeed made the DWCU employees RELAXED, RENEWED, and RECHARGED!
