Welcome DWCU Students!
Welcome to SY 2015 – 2016!
The School Year 2015 – 2016 is about to commence and I take the honor and privilege to welcome you all. A warm welcome to each and every one of you!
The theme taken by DepEd for this school year is: “Makapag-aral ay Karapatan Mo, Magpalista”. The theme emphasizes that education is a primordial concern of everybody and that it is a right and privilege of every Filipino. Since education is a right, it projects that there are commensurate responsibilities required in order that the goals of education may be achieved.
At DWCU, education is creative, innovative, and participative where students, parents, alumni, teachers, and administrations work hand in hand in order to make it a reality.
Education as expressed by a certain author, could be likened to a canvass which is full of opportunities where students and mentors throw and spill their paints of different talents and abilities giving their own individual and collective strokes and forming a Masterpiece of Art.
The key to the goal of education could be expressed in a four-letter word – HELP. a) Help from parents in terms of their cooperation in preparing their children for school for we believe that education is nurtured at home and magnified in school. b) Help coming from the teachers, administrators, and religious of this institution since education is a life-long learning. They need to enhance their professionalism, and dedication to teaching. c) Finally, help from you students who are the agents of learning. You need to take constant actions to further your education.
Try to be self-motivated and throw as much paint of talents and abilities to your canvass of opportunities in education. Then look forward to the day in the future when you may be in a position to respond to the request of people who may need your help.
Once again, welcome to Divine Word College of Urdaneta for School Year 2015 – 2016. This is the place where you can make your dreams come true and where education is a masterpiece of art! – Fr. Gil T. Manalo, SVD
