There were times today that the weather was not participating, but the games must go on for the players. With this attitude, we can see and feel the passion they have for the games that they are playing as well as their dedication to win for their respective schools.

Withstood Cross

DWCU Employees

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Blood shed; salvation becomes the gift for everyone.

Everything started as He withstood the cross, overcome the grave. We are loved. And this day we find ourselves running at the back of the cross where we are redeemed and upon the coming of the Holy Spirit from the heaven, our flesh rejoices for He, eternally, will be with us.

Mr. Julian A. Quinabo – Retreat Master

October 26-27, 2017, DWCU Retreat was successfully conducted at Divine Word Retreat House, Sunnyside, Baguio City. The High School Faculty, Elementary Faculty, College Faculty, and staffs of the Divine Word College of Urdaneta attended the annual retreat. An excellent speaker named Julian A. Quinabo facilitated the discussion and sharing of topics which correct human misinterpretations and malpractices in life. We are not human until we learn how to become one. Thru the speaker it was a rite of passage that the children of God are now human becoming. Anointed, he is the anointed. Sir Julian has the gift of tongues-a humble prophet of God. He speaks through the heart and soul of listeners which classifies him as an excellent speaker. It was teachers learning from a teacher of all walks in life, who exemplifies humor wiping moments of silence and boredom.

The attendees had been through a lot this last semester. Preoccupied, weary, scared, and tired but now renewed in the word of the Lord; guided by the overflowing Holy Spirit; rekindled by the love of God pouring down from the heaven. Their little crosses that pain them are destroyed- now withstood crosses. This Retreat was the time for the DWCU faculty and staff to get away, focus on the theme, build friendship, create memories, and welcome the new faculty and staffs of the institution.

Psychology tells us that taking breaks actually enhances the development of strength. Perfect timing that there is an annual retreat to help us all. Hearts are at peace.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” –Colossians 3:15
