img090This was manifested as the Grade 1 – St. Raymond, Grade 3 – St. Thomas Aquinas and Grade 5 – St. Albert the Great classes from the Elementary Department celebrated together their Annual Class Feast Day last January 31, 2018, not only with a mass at 8:00 AM presided by Fr. Roberto J. Ibay, SVD, the DWCU President, but also by inviting the  children of Barangay Bayaoas to join the Class Feast Day Celebration.

In collaboration with the Barangay Bayaoas Council represented by Mrs. Kimberly B. Gozon, the Barangay Bayaoas Secretary, and Ms. Claire Tabilin, Teacher-In Charge of Bayaoas Daycare, more than thirty (30) children with their parents came to DWCU at around 9:30 AM. A program was held at the St. Michael Gymnasium by the celebrating classes for these children. The program started with a Doxology by selected Grade 3 and Grade 5 pupils, followed by welcome remarks given by Ms. Carolina T. Sayapen, the Pre-school and Elementary Principal. Different presentations were carried out by the Grade 1, Grade 3 and Grade 5 pupils; exciting children games were also played and joyously participated by the children of Barangay Bayaoas and DWCU pupils. Snacks and gifts were also given to the recipients. To conclude the program, Fr. Venerando J. Yator, SVD, the DWCU Campus Minister, gave his blessings and closing remarks, and Mrs. Mheia Joy B. Gabaldon, the Grade 1-St. Raymond Class Adviser gave the closing prayer.

A “salo-salo” was shared by everyone after the program. It was indeed a joyful celebration for the Grade 1-St. Raymond, Grade 3-St. Thomas Aquinas and Grade 5-St. Albert the Great pupils celebrating their Class Feast Day together with the children of Brgy. Bayaoas with the theme ““God doesn’t ask us to do great things. He asks us to do small things with great love.”. Ms. Paulette Jane T. Pablico, Grade 3 Adviser, acted as the Emcee of the program.
