Electrifying energy filled the St. Michael Gymnasium when the Miting de Avance was held on June 29, 2012. Two parties were vying for the Supreme Student Government positions namely, the A.V.E.N.G.E.R.S. (Active Virtuous Enthusiasts with Noble Goals that Embody the Rights of the Students) Party and the P.A.R.T.Y. (Prime Alliance Rendering Towards Youth) Party.
The event was their last shot at campaign before the students cast their votes.
“We wouldn’t be standing in front of you if we didn’t believe that we could take the responsibilities,” said the candidates suppressing the doubts on their capabilities.
Some students showed their support on both parties by performing in their behalf and cheering for them.
Though there are two parties involved, they all have but one goal which is to unite and lead the whole student body for a better learning experience.
In the afternoon of the said day, the students exercised their right to vote for the right leaders that will do their duties as elected officials for the school year.
