DIVINIANS OBSERVE BIBLE ENTHRONEMENT
EARLIER THAN USUALLY SCHEDULED
As a Catholic school being true to its vision mission as Witness to the Word, Divine Word College of Urdaneta has observed Bible Enthronement as part of its activities in part of celebrating the Holy Bible Week during the month of January. However this school year, the DWCU community has commemorated the Holy Bible last July 25 as part of the planned activities for the 45th Foundation Anniversary of the school. Led by Fr. Tanysun C. Sunico, DWCU Campus Minister, the office personnel, faculty, and students from both high school and college department gathered at the DWCU Quadrangle for the ceremonial act of honoring the Bible.
After the usual flag ceremony in the morning, the rite of enthronement was presided by Fr. Tr. Sunico. Members of the Glee Club took the lead in singing the liturgical songs. After giving out his message and reading the Gospel, Fr. Sunico proceeded in calling out the representatives from each class and offices to have their Bibles and candles be bless as climax of the ritual. The ceremony ended with each class in procession to bring their Bibles and candles in their rightful niches inside the classrooms and offices of the school.
The Elementary Department also held the same activity on that same day afterward.
