Urdaneta City. Flowers of Lent in full bloom filled the admirable stage of the St. Michael’s Gymnasium witnessing the Baccalaureate Mass and the Graduation Exercises of the Pre-School and the Elementary Departments of the Divine Word College of Urdaneta this morning  formally closing the School Year 2009-2010. Jubilant and grateful parents, honored faculty, non-academic and administrative personnel of the DWCU with the graduating classes gathered together in a solemn thanksgiving mass celebrated by no other than the Bishop of Urdaneta Most Rev. Jacinto A. Jose, DD . The Bishop too was the main homilist who focused his message on the Meaning and the Mission of the Matatag Class 2010.

Right after the Mass the Graduation Ceremony took over the formidable stage supervised by Mrs. Marina Elizabeth M. Domingo the Pre-School & Elementary Principal. Marinelle F. Bagayan took the center stage as the most awarded pupil of this school year. She is the eldest of the two daughters of Mr. Nelson Bagayan and Mrs. Maria Victoria Ferrer Bagayan of Bacag, Villasis, Pangasinan. The ceremony went on smoothly maintaining the solemnity of the activity with precision as it ended just right before 12:00 noon. A graduation reception (luncheon) was prepared at the SPA Hall by the Faculty and Staff of the said departments.
